Latest Releases Candidates

JOnAS(5.1.0-RC3) OSGi

This version is the latest release candidate version of JOnAS 5 application server. Later 5.1 releases will only includes bug fixes. It is based on an OSGi kernel and provides a full Java EE 5 execution stack, supporting EJB3 with OW2 EasyBeans container, Servlet 2.5 with Tomcat 6 or Jetty 6, JAX-WS with CXF 2, etc.

This release is JavaEE^TM 5 certified.

Stable Releases

JOnAS(4.10.4) / Apache Tomcat (5.5.27)

This version provides a full J2EE application server. It includes the Apache Tomcat web container.

This release is J2EE^TM 1.4 certified.

JOnAS(4.10.4) / Jetty (5.1.10)

This version provides a full J2EE application server. It includes the Jetty web container.
Please follow the Installation Guide

JOnAS(4.10.4) / without web container

This package is provided without web container. It can be linked to an existing Tomcat or Jetty installation.

Source package of JOnAS 4.10.4

Developers or advanced users can use this source version which provides ready-to-use ant tasks allowing to create the binary jar files, javadoc, etc.

JOnAS certification

Current JOnAS 5.x certified release: 5.1.0-RC3 (jonas5.1.0-RC3.tgz with Tomcat 6.0.18)

Java^TM Compliance Information: the certification of compliance against Sun JavaEE^TM 5 Certification Test Suite has been successfully completed for (and only for) the following configuration: binary package (jonas5.1.0-RC3-tomcat6.0.18.tgz running on Sun JDK^TM 5.0_15, deployed on Debian GNU/Linux kernel 2.6.26 with an Oracle^TM database version 10.2.0.3 and JDBC^TM driver i-net ORANXO^TM version 2.08.

Current JOnAS 4.x certified release: 4.10.4 (jonas4.10.4-tomcat5.5.27.tgz)

Java^TM Compliance Information: the certification of compliance against Sun J2EE^TM 1.4 Certification Test Suite has been successfully completed for (and only for) the following configuration: binary package (jonas4.10.4-tomcat5.5.27.tgz running on Sun JDK^TM 1.4.2_13, deployed on Linux kernel 2.6.9 with an Oracle^TM database version 10.0.1.4 and JDBC^TM driver i-net ORANXO^TM version 2.08.

Source code corresponding to the certifies releases are available under LGPL license from OW2 JOnAS SVN repository with the tags JONAS_5_1_0_RC3 and JONAS_4_10_4. Available packages

Releases of the Java Open Application Server (JOnAS) are also available from the ObjectWeb Forge file repository page. The latest JOnAS milestone build (latest tagged version) can also be downloaded; be careful, this version may be unstable and should not be used for real applications. Note that the SVN version is needed to get the latest current development release.

Nightly builds

JOnAS nightly builds are available from the OW2 Maven repository.
