JOnAS Roadmap

JOnAS 4 serie is J2EE 1.4 certified. JOnAS 4.10 is the last stable release, some maintenance releases are provided.

JOnAS 5 serie brings two major enhancements, first a new services architecture natively based on OSGi, then the compliance to Java EE 5.

JOnAS 5.1 is the historical Java EE 5 stable certified release; some maintenance release are provided.

- Note: A new 5.1.x maintenance version is released on critical issues or with a 4 months lifecycle
JOnAS 5.2 introduces smoothly some Java EE 6 features. It is also Java EE-certified and is the current stable platform.

JOnAS 5.3 continues to add Java EE 6 features and is the development branch
