JOnAS 5.2 RC1 released

    Hi JOnAS users,


We're very pleased to announce the general availability of the first release candidate of JOnAS 5.2 : 5.2.0 RC1.
This release is Java EE 5 certified


JOnAS 5.2 RC1 is on its way to Java EE 6: CDI / EJB 3.1 Singleton / JPA 2.0 / Bean Validation / JAX-RS 1.1, Servlet 3.0 (+ updated JSP and EL) are supported.
There are also plenty of bug fixes and components upgrades to provides better security, more performances and an always up to date JOnAS experience.


This is the first release candidate of JOnAS 5.2.x. If no major complaints are raised, the 5.2.0 stable version of JOnAS will be released soon.

Bug

  • (JONAS-126) - error 400 (instead of 404) if no root web application deployed
  • (JONAS-259) - (HttpService) getServletContext() returns null when called from GenericServlet.init()
  • (JONAS-357) - Cannot deploy Jonas 5.2 M4 on Ubuntu 10.04
  • (JONAS-363) - java.lang.ClassCastException raised when deploying an iPOJO/Bundle
  • (JONAS-364) - Client.jar is available by default in the thread context classloader when the OSGi gateway is starting which may lead to exceptions
  • (JONAS-365) - Problem with the JMX Browser Kerneos module
  • (JONAS-368) - Missing requirement : javax.xml.transform.stax with jdbc mysql connector
  • (JONAS-369) - JOnAS fails to create the Web Service Endpoint of an @WebService annotated Stateless EJB
  • (JONAS-370) - Using Tomcat 7, got this following error : "Failed to unregister MBean with name (jonas:j2eeType=WebModule,name=//localhost/,J2EEApplication=none,J2EEServer=jonas) during component destruction"
  • (JONAS-377) - If bundles are providing JDBC drivers, the JDBC deployment plan shouldn't be deployed before
